ASTRAFUNK AND THE SPACE CATS
Astrafunk and the Space Cats is a fresh new act from Cape Town. Taking influence from soul, funk, hip hop, and blues deep inside hard grooves.
The band comprises of Matthew Pople on guitar and vocals, Tumi Pheko on the trumpet, Christian Chandler on trombone, Nobuhle Mazinyane on the keys, Stephen De Souza on bass, Kurt Bowers on the drums.
They have been called Cape Town’s Fat Freddy’s Drop and in just under a year, have taken the scene by storm.
